​​Babies are innocent, honest, funny, amazing and beautiful!! They take everything in around them with a big wide eyed stare and they give us the biggest pure and natural smiles when they are happy.  

​Time goes by so quickly and little ones grow up so fast, especially in their first year. Those chubby little arms and legs and dimpled wee hands that we fall in love with will disappear so quickly once they transition into moving and crawling. ​
 
Baby Sessions are all about capturing some of those sweet little milestones that happen in that very first year of life.  The first smiles, grabbing their chubby little toes, sitting up unassisted, crawling and then those first wobbly little steps.

​These sessions are for babies aged between 3-12 months. My absolute favourite age for these sessions is around 7-8 months when your little one has mastered sitting unassisted but not yet moving around too much. This is often when baby rolls are at their peak of cuteness!

Sessions are approximately 30 minutes and are kept simple with minimal props to keep the focus on your beautiful baby.
​Sessions can also be upgraded to include family members.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my baby session?

These sessions are for babies aged from 3 - 18 months (approx).  Babies are all so different with their development and it will depend on the stage you want to capture.  My recommendation is to have a baby session at around 3-4 months when they have mastered tummy time, around 6-7 months when they have mastered sitting unassisted, and around 12 months when they are standing.

Where are baby sessions held?

Baby sessions take place in my studio at 27B Royal Arcade, Timaru on selected weekday mornings.

How long will the photoshoot take?

These wee sessions are around 30 minutes as babies get tired and bored of it very quickly, especially if they are moving around and crawling. If your baby is a bit shy and slow to warm up, we can keep going a little longer until they are comfortable.

Do you have props?

Yes. The studio is filled with beautiful props and accessories including blankets, wraps, hats, headbands and a small number of outfits, which are all available to you during your session. Before your session we will have a pre-consultation to discuss the styling of your session and your preferred colours.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a baby session is $200 for your baby only. This includes your digital images. Printed products can also be purchased separately.  I have a variety of professional quality products and artwork to choose from starting at $150. ​​ Sessions can also be upgraded to include family members.

When do we receive the images?

Your images will be ready to view within 1-2 weeks of your session. I like to help you through the selection process of your images and this is best done in person at the studio. However If circumstances mean returning to the studio is too hard to schedule, or you are out of town, we can also do this online.  
Once you have chosen your images, they will be fully retouched and your digital images sent to you within 2-3 weeks. Printed products can take up to 4-8 weeks to arrive depending on the product.

Are you fully vaccinated?

Yes. I am current in all recommended vaccinations including Whooping Cough and MMR.
