Fam​ily photography is so important. It makes a house feel like a home and reminds you of wonderful memories that you and your children can look back on in years to come.

​Family sessions are all about capturing genuine expression and having fun. I want your session to be as relaxed and enjoyable as possible with lots of laughter and giggles. Family sessions are the perfect way to capture those real connections and the beautiful bonds between those you love the most.

At this time, I am offering family sessions in the studio only.  
My cosy, welcoming space is the perfect setting for creating beautiful, timeless family portraits.

Where are family sessions held?

At this time, I am offering Family sessions in the studio only.  My professional studio at 27B Royal Arcade in central Timaru.

How long will the photoshoot take?

On average most family sessions take around 1 hour. Although this can vary depending on the ages of the children and how many people are involved.  Smaller families can be much shorter than this and larger family groups or extended family sessions will take longer.

What do we wear and what do we need to bring?

As part of your pre session planning we can go over clothing choices together. As a rule though, neutral or earthly tones are best. Very bright colours, bold stripes or patterns and logos should be avoided. 
For toddlers and small children a change of clothes is recommended in case of accidents and some snacks to help to keep them going!

What should we expect from a family session?

Expect to have fun!  I love documenting the connection of families and the love they have for each other.  I want sessions to feel nice and relaxed with a mix of silliness, cuddles and giggles! I try to discourage the 'cheese' face and instead capture the genuine connections and expressions.

What if my child doesn't co-operate?

Don’t worry! I am a pretty good child/toddler wrangler and have a few tricks up my sleeve! The main thing is to let them be themselves and don't force them into doing anything they don't want to do. ​

How much does it cost?

Family sessions start from $550.  You can choose a package that best suits you and your family.  Printed products are also available for purchase when you view your gallery.  The total investment you make is totally up to you.  For full details on all pricing including printed products, please get in touch.  

When do we receive the images?

Your private online gallery will be ready to view within 7 days of your session.  This is where you will get to view and select your favourite images.  From here it is an easy add-on for any printed items you may also like.
Once you have chosen your images, they will be fully retouched and your digital images sent to you within 2 weeks. Printed products can take up to 4-8 weeks to arrive.
